| Chers frères et sœurs, nous entendons dans l’évangile d’aujourd’hui un écho du rejet par la synagogue de l’Église. Au début de notre ère, un « nouveau mouvement religieux », - un terme employé en sociologie des religions -, est apparu à l’intérieur de ce qui donnera le judaïsme, avant d’être rejeté comme « secte ». | Dear brothers and sisters, in today’s Gospel we hear an echo of the synagogue’s rejection of the Church. At the beginning of our era, a "new religious movement" - a term used in the sociology of religions - appeared within what would become Judaism, before being rejected as a "cult". | 親愛なる兄弟姉妹の皆様、今日の福音書には、教会に対する会堂の拒絶の響きが聞こえてきます。私たちの時代の初め、後にユダヤ教となるものの中に「新しい宗教運動」―宗教社会学で用いられる用語―が現れ、やがて「異端」として拒絶されることとなりました。 |
| Et pourtant ce mouvement, le christianisme, va croître jusqu’à devenir la première religion du monde. « La pierre rejetée par les bâtisseurs est devenue la pierre d’angle ». | And yet this movement, Christianity, would grow to become the world’s largest religion. "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone." | しかしこの運動、キリスト教は、やがて世界最大の宗教へと成長する。「大工たちが捨てた石が、隅の親石となった」 |
| On retrouve ce rejet dès l’origine : le Christ a été rejeté par les autorités juives, comme il l’avait prophétisé dans les annonces de sa Passion. | This rejection can be seen from the very beginning : Christ was rejected by the Jewish authorities, as he had prophesied in his announcements of his Passion. | この拒絶は最初から明らかであった。キリストは、ご自身の受難を予告されたとおり、ユダヤの指導者たちによって拒絶されたのである。 |
| Qu’est-ce qui s’est passé à cette époque ? Les docteurs en charge de l’enseignement de la Loi et les prêtres en charge de l’appareil rituel avaient une idée précise de ce qu’était la religion juive et de la manière dont elle devait être pratiquée et administrée. Ce qui ne cadrait pas avec cette idée était rejeté. | What happened at that time ? The doctors in charge of teaching the Law and the priests in charge of rituals had a clear idea of what the Jewish religion was and how it should be practised and administered. Anything that did not fit in with this idea was rejected. | 当時何が起きたのか？律法を教える学者たちと儀式を担当する祭司たちは、ユダヤ教とは何か、またそれがどのように実践され管理されるべきかについて明確な考えを持っていた。この考えに合致しないものはすべて拒絶された。 |
| Les autorités religieuses avaient simplement oublié de mettre Dieu dans la boucle. Ils avaient oublié que Dieu est le propriétaire de la maison et qu’ils n’en étaient que les intendants. Ils avaient exercé leur pouvoir sans Dieu, tout en prétendant agir en son nom. | The religious authorities had simply forgotten to include God in the loop. They had forgotten that God is the owner of the house and that they were only stewards. They had exercised their power without God, while claiming to act in His name. | 宗教的権威者たちは、単に神をその輪に加えることを忘れていた。彼らは、神こそが家の所有者であり、自分たちは単なる管理者に過ぎないことを忘れていた。彼らは神の名において行動していると主張しながら、神抜きで権力を行使していたのである。 |
| Les sociétés laïques actuelles ne prétendent plus agir au nom de Dieu, au contraire elles revendiquent de se construire sans lui. « Nous sommes parvenus au stade adulte, nous sommes capables de nous donner nos lois à nous-même sans avoir besoin de les recevoir d’on ne sait quelle réalité supérieure, au demeurant fort élusive. ». | Today’s secular societies no longer claim to act in the name of God ; on the contrary, they claim to build themselves without him. "We have reached adulthood ; we are capable of making our own laws without needing to receive them from some higher reality that is, moreover, highly elusive." | 今日の世俗社会はもはや神の名において行動すると主張しない。むしろ、神なしに自らを築き上げると主張するのだ。「我々は成人期に達した。もはや捉えどころのない高次の現実から授かる必要なく、自らの法律を制定する能力を備えている」 |
| Comme croyants, nous pouvons difficilement recevoir cette vision « auto-référentielle » d’un monde en possession de lui-même. | As believers, we find it difficult to accept this ’self-referential’ vision of a world in possession of itself. | 信者として、私たちはこの「自己言及的」な世界観―すなわち世界が自己を所有しているという見方―を受け入れることに困難を感じる。 |
| Dans ma foi, je crois que je ne suis pas propriétaire de mon corps ; je ne suis pas propriétaire de mon intelligence, de mon affectivité et je ne peux pas en faire ce que je veux. | In my faith, I believe that I do not own my body ; I do not own my intelligence or my affectivity, and I cannot do whatever I want with them. | 私の信仰において、私は自分の身体を所有していないと信じています。私は自分の知性や感情性を所有しておらず、それらを好き勝手に扱うことはできません。 |
| Je ne suis pas propriétaire du temps de vie qui m’est donné sur cette terre, entre le moment où j’en émerge et le moment où je vais y retourner. Je ne suis pas propriétaire des compagnons, humains et non-humains, qui évoluent avec moi sur cette terre, qu’ils marchent, qu’ils volent ou qu’ils nagent et je ne peux pas en faire ce que je veux. | I do not own the time I have been given on this earth, between the moment I emerge out of it and the moment I return to it. I do not own the companions, human and non-human, who live with me on this earth, whether they walk, fly or swim, and I cannot do with them as I please. | この地上に与えられた時間は、私がそこから現れた瞬間から再び戻る瞬間まで、決して私の所有物ではない。この地上で共に生きる仲間たち――歩く者、飛ぶ者、泳ぐ者、人間であろうとそうでなかろうと――もまた私の所有物ではなく、彼らを意のままに扱うことはできない。 |
| Je ne suis pas propriétaire de la terre. Même si je possède un titre foncier, aux yeux de Dieu, je n’en suis pas propriétaire. Je ne suis pas propriétaire de l’air, je ne suis pas propriétaire de l’eau et je ne peux pas en faire ce que je veux. | I do not own the land. Even if I have a land title, in God’s eyes, I am not the owner. I do not own the air, I do not own the water, and I cannot do whatever I want with them. | 私は土地を所有していない。たとえ土地の権利書を持っていたとしても、神の目には私は所有者ではない。私は空気を所有しておらず、水を所有しておらず、それらを好き勝手に扱うことはできない。 |
| Dieu est le seul et unique propriétaire. Il m’a accordé en fermage un peu de temps, pas beaucoup, pour cultiver ce qu’il m’a confié. Il m’a accordé en fermage un corps, une intelligence, une volonté, des compagnons, humains et non-humains, l’air, la terre, l’eau, pour les mettre en valeur. | God is the one and only owner. He has granted me a little time, not much, to cultivate what he has entrusted to me. He has granted me a body, intelligence, willpower, companions, both human and non-human, air, earth and water, to make the most of them. | 神は唯一無二の所有者である。神は私に、神が託されたものを育むために、わずかながらも時間を授けてくださった。神は私に肉体と知性と意志力、人間と非人間双方の仲間、空気と大地と水を授け、それらを最大限に活用するようお許しになった。 |
| Et tous les fruits de mon travail lui reviennent, pas seulement une part mais la totalité : et ma joie la plus vraie, c’est d’être admis au service de ce maître-là. | And all the fruits of my labour belong to him, not just a share but the whole : and my truest joy is to be admitted into the service of this master. | そして私の労苦の果実はすべて彼のものであり、分け前ではなくすべてが彼のものです。そして私の最も真実な喜びは、この主人の奉仕に招かれることです。 |

Il n’est d’abord qu’une silhouette lointaine et indistincte, mais plus il s’approche et plus je distingue ses traits. | Christ is in the distance. He is walking towards his creation, he is coming towards us, he is coming towards me. At first, he is just a distant, indistinct silhouette, but the closer he gets, the more I can make out his features. | キリストは遠くにいます。彼は自らの創造物へと歩み、私たちへと近づき、私へと近づいてきます。最初は遠くかすかなシルエットに過ぎませんが、近づくにつれ、その輪郭が次第に鮮明になっていくのです。 |
| Préparons-nous à l’accueillir, préparons-nous au cœur à cœur, au face à face, à 10 centimètres, 5 centimètres, 1 centimètre. | Let us prepare ourselves to welcome him, let us prepare ourselves heart to heart, face to face, 10 centimetres, 5 centimetres, 1 centimetre. | 彼を迎える準備をしよう、心と心で、顔を合わせて、10センチ、5センチ、1センチ。 |

| 「もう一つのたとえを聞きなさい。ある家の主人がぶどう園を作り、垣を巡らし、その中に搾り場を掘り、見張りのやぐらを立て、これを農夫たちに貸して旅に出た。 | 33 « Écoutez une autre parabole. Il y avait un propriétaire qui planta une vigne, l’entoura d’une clôture, y creusa un pressoir et bâtit une tour ; puis il la donna en fermage à des vignerons et partit en voyage. | 33 Hear another parable : There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country : |
| さて、収穫の時が近づいたとき、収穫を受け取るために、僕たちを農夫たちのところへ送った。 | 34 Quand le temps des fruits approcha, il envoya ses serviteurs aux vignerons pour recevoir les fruits qui lui revenaient. | 34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. |
| だが、農夫たちはこの僕たちを捕まえ、一人を袋だたきにし、一人を殺し、一人を石で打ち殺した。 | 35 Mais les vignerons saisirent ces serviteurs ; l’un, ils le rouèrent de coups ; un autre, ils le tuèrent ; un autre, ils le lapidèrent. | 35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. |
| また、他の僕たちを前よりも多く送ったが、農夫たちは同じ目に遭わせた。 | 36 Il envoya encore d’autres serviteurs, plus nombreux que les premiers ; ils les traitèrent de même. | 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first : and they did unto them likewise. |
| そこで最後に、『わたしの息子なら敬ってくれるだろう』と言って、主人は自分の息子を送った。 | 37 Finalement, il leur envoya son fils, en se disant : ‹ Ils respecteront mon fils. › | 37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. |
| 農夫たちは、その息子を見て話し合った。『これは跡取りだ。さあ、殺して、彼の相続財産を我々のものにしよう。』 | 38 Mais les vignerons, voyant le fils, se dirent entre eux : ‹ C’est l’héritier. Venez ! Tuons-le et emparons-nous de l’héritage. › | 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir ; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. |
| そして、息子を捕まえ、ぶどう園の外にほうり出して殺してしまった。 | 39 Ils se saisirent de lui, le jetèrent hors de la vigne et le tuèrent. | 39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. |
| さて、ぶどう園の主人が帰って来たら、この農夫たちをどうするだろうか。」 | 40 Eh bien ! lorsque viendra le maître de la vigne, que fera-t-il à ces vignerons-là ? » | 40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen ? |
| 彼らは言った。「その悪人どもをひどい目に遭わせて殺し、ぶどう園は、季節ごとに収穫を納めるほかの農夫たちに貸すにちがいない。」 | 41 Ils lui répondirent : « Il fera périr misérablement ces misérables, et il donnera la vigne en fermage à d’autres vignerons, qui lui remettront les fruits en temps voulu. » | 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. |
| イエスは言われた。「聖書にこう書いてあるのを、まだ読んだことがないのか。『家を建てる者の捨てた石、／これが隅の親石となった。これは、主がなさったことで、／わたしたちの目には不思議に見える。』 | 42 Jésus leur dit : « N’avez-vous jamais lu dans les Écritures : La pierre qu’ont rejetée les bâtisseurs, c’est elle qui est devenue la pierre angulaire ; c’est là l’œuvre du Seigneur : Quelle merveille à nos yeux. | 42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner : this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes ? |
| だから、言っておくが、神の国はあなたたちから取り上げられ、それにふさわしい実を結ぶ民族に与えられる。 | 43 Aussi je vous le déclare : le Royaume de Dieu vous sera enlevé, et il sera donné à un peuple qui en produira les fruits. | 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. |
| この石の上に落ちる者は打ち砕かれ、この石がだれかの上に落ちれば、その人は押しつぶされてしまう。」 | 44 Celui qui tombera sur cette pierre sera brisé, et celui sur qui elle tombera, elle l’écrasera. » | 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken : but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. |
| 祭司長たちやファリサイ派の人々はこのたとえを聞いて、イエスが自分たちのことを言っておられると気づき、 | 45 En entendant ses paraboles, les grands prêtres et les Pharisiens comprirent que c’était d’eux qu’il parlait. | 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. |
| イエスを捕らえようとしたが、群衆を恐れた。群衆はイエスを預言者だと思っていたからである。 | 46 Ils cherchaient à l’arrêter, mais ils eurent peur des foules, car elles le tenaient pour un prophète. | 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. |
